Step 1: Choose how you will take impressions
Myoaligner® accepts digital impressions or stone models with physical bite registration only, all physical impressions will be rejected. Please note digital impressions are less costly and processing times are faster. If you use a scanner not specified below, see step 4 to learn how to properly export your files.
Digital Impressions: STL scans must include upper and lower jaw scans as well as the Myobite scan. Please send your scans directly to either of the following scanners:
- 3M True Definition: Lab name, Myoaligner
- iTero: account ID 63402.
For all other scanners please export your files by attaching to your digital RX on Myolab.
Step 2: Choose the right Orthotic
Please decide on the orthotic design by looking at the arch from the occlusial surface. A bondable design is a better fit for teeth that are severely angled. In most cases, the bondable design provides adequate retention to be used as a removable option. The alternative design which is to the gum line is a perfect solution for short and straight teeth or severely worn dentition.
Step 3: Create a Case on Myolab
Once you are logged into your provider portal, you'll see "create a new case" on your dashboard on the left hand side. To create a case fill out the case information pictured below. See case submission specifications denoted by the red arrows for further clarification.
Step 4: Alternative Ways to Submit your Files
After scanning please create a specific folder on your desk top titled with your patients name. Export patients files from your scanner to the designated folder. Please make sure you export upper jaw, lower jaw, and Myobite registration, STL format only. Once exported successfully, attach each STL file to your Myolab RX under "attachments"
Step 5: Check Status Updates in Manufacturing
To check the status of manufacturing on your cases click on Case Manager on your Myolab dashboard and select reference number to access the case items and event log as shown below.
Step 6: Finalize Payment
In order to initiate the process of manufacturing it is integral to make a payment once the case is approved by Myoaligner®. From your Myolab dashboard select the billing tab, thereafter select invoice and click "new payment" on the upper right hand side. You can save your credit card number so you do not have to re-enter, however Myoaligner in no case will authorize automatic payments. Each case requires explicit authorization by the doctor.
Step 7: Appliance Delivery
Please refer to Myoaligner Academy lesson 4, minute 19: 45 for details regarding appliance delivery.
